Last night we had another session with our friends online and I made one of my random collages. There’s no rhyme or reason to how I put these things together.

I’m working from scraps of magazines that have already been cutting up and that are literally lying around on my desk. So nothing particularly planned. Just trying to work with what I have, and trying to make it succeed.

Whether that’s happened on not I don’t know. I think just even doing this on a regular basis is the sort of thing that’s exercising those artistic muscles, playing, which is what we all need to do to make our art better.
I like the these, the idea and the look. The first one, I’ve done the same thing, noticing the nice look of random pages, I’m here to say I’ve lifted out the whole thing and glued it down and took credit for what the magazine did on its own. I think collar is the best for quick access to creativity.

I couldn’t agree more. I thought I might pull those pages out and see what else comes from it.

It’s a fashion magazine from China (about 10 years old from when I visited there) and an English house & harden magazine. Every so often I use rhe free magazines from our locak supermarkets!

Yes I rarely get them these days. Still plenty of cutting from both of these!
