In 2019 I started the Opening Stitches Project. I invited people, via social media, to provide me with a square of cloth with one or two sets of stitches on it. Using whatever was sent by the contributors and then adding my own threads and stitches I have responded to the squares given to me.

This body of work continues my exploration of developing work using social media as a platform for connection and in a framework where I interacts with people that I may not have physically met.

Contributions have been received from across Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, Scotland and the USA.

The collected pieces were exhibited at the M16 Artspace in September 2020.
