Without the internet I am unlikely to have ever found Claudia McGill’s Haiku 365.
Everyone I asked
said it was an ugly thing
and handed it back.
Together it sits here with my watercolour and paste up work about demolition and rebuilding in the Woden town centre near my home.
Thanks Claudia!
Thank you for doing this. I love it that, as you say, the internet brought us together from places so far apart, but our daily worlds are very close, it seems.

My pleasure Claudia. And yes, we do seem to connect in many places.

Reblogged this on Claudia McGill Writes Poetry, Did You Know That? and commented:
The serendipity of words finding a meaning never thought of when they were written. This makes me happy and once again I am reminded that my writing has purpose and carries meaning out into the world to people and places near and far. I am grateful for this and also intrigued by this particular instance – because in my own city the same kind of changes are happening, thousands of miles away!
