March turned out to be the month that we finally returned to cafe sketching – so far. I must say that I am a little bit rusty and am having to re-learn some of that flow I had previously. The fact that we have drawn every week for a month is quite a development in itself.
So without further ado…

I love sketching in cafes. It’s lovely to be able to do it again xxx

I had really missed it over the past two years. My book of sketches for 2021 is only 4doubled pages – the least amount I have done in years. This year🤞is looking a bit more promising.

These are great Leonie, not rusty at all! Love the vibrancy and immediacy of straight watercolour. Nice to be back to a bit of normality I imagine!

Absolutely! We are also checking out a few, new to us, cafe’s as we have changed our routines somewhat in recent times.

I’ve also decided to carry my slightly larger tin of watercolours which allows me to get more oomph that using a colour dot card does.

I love this series of sketches. You get a real sense of the movement of people through the cafe/s.

Thanks so much Emma. There have been quite a few gaps in my cafe sketching over the past year, so I felt quite a bit out of practice. I’m glad you enjoyed the sketches.
