Well what can I say, I love the idea of the art challenge sweeping the world’s museums and galleries where people try and recreate famous artworks at home. #museumfromhome, #betweenartandquarantine.
This is our contribution, as we have a maquette of the Angel of the North, in the National Gallery of Australia collection.

Love this! Holding out your wings was probably fairly taxing … you have put a lot of work into this, and its very successful. I do love the original too!

Thanks Anna. Yes you guessed the hardest part, plus one of the supporting struts was a tomato stake which gave me splinters. I think that comes under the heading of ‘suffering for your art’!
BTW the National Gallery have said they will be sharing the photo on their Instagram account later this evening. Woo hoo! (of course this may be as close as I get to making it into the national collection!)
